Drivers Ed Meeting
There will be an informational meeting for all Freshmen who signed up for Summer Driver Education on Tuesday, April 22nd during 2nd hour activity period. We will discuss schedules and distribute information for schedules. »
Saving Money

These girls are doing their part to control the high cost of prom by making lovely gowns from designer patterns. These dresses off the rack would be hundreds of dollars yet the materials cost them under $50.00. Way to go, girls! »
2008 HOSA Leadership Conference
On Wednesday April 2nd, Mrs. Shanks, the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) adviser of Marengo High School, took seven HOSA members to Decatur, Illinois to attend the annual state HOSA leadership conference. For all seven of the students, it was their first time competing in a HOSA conference. »
Auto and Small Gas Engine News
The auto class has been very busy working on this year's demo car which is a 95' Ford Crown Victoria. It has a very strong body and frame and will be fitted with a Chevy 350 motor, turbo 350 trans and specially modified and reinforced rear-end! It will be a very non-fuel efficient hybrid that has been "built Ford tough... with Chevy stuff!" »
Senior Honors Night
Our seniors will be recognized at Senior Honors Night May 15 at 7 p.m. in the MCHS auditorium. All local scholarships will be presented at this time. State awards from last year's Prairie State Achievement Examination will be among other recognitions presented to our seniors. The public is invited to this event. »
Museum Trip 2008

The MCHS art students traveled to Chicago to see the collection at the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Millenium Park's sculpture "Cloud Gate", otherwise known as the Bean. »
Art Display
The MCHS Art department will be displaying student's Artwork throughout the Marengo community. Artwork created by high school students will be displayed from Monday April 7th through Saturday April 19th 2008. The following area businesses have graciously agreed to participate in this display; Harris Bank, Chase Bank, Flatlanders CafĂ©, Prairie State Bank, Marengo Printery, Castle Bank, Brandt's Pharmacy and Levin's Dry Goods. The show will culminate in an Art and Band Show at Marengo Community High School on April 21st 7:00 p.m. with three purchase awards, and awards for each class. The artists hope that you enjoy the show. »
