McGUIRE SIGNS AT TRINITY
Mattie McGuire With Trinity Christian College Head Coach Missy Bolhuis
Practice ended early for Mattie McGuire as she left to travel to Trinity Christian College on March 30, 2010, to sign her letter of intent to play softball. In addition to receiving an athletic scholarship she also received an academic award, together covering almost two-thirds of her college costs.
Mattie's travel coach, Connie Weathersby, accompanied her to the college signing. "Mattie is a very versatile player," said Weathersby. "I look forward to watching her play at the college level."
While at Trinity, Mattie intends to major in secondary education/history and minor in ELL. She plans to one day teach and coach her favorite sport. »
SOFTBALL SCHOLARSHIPS RECEIVED BY MCHS PLAYERS
On March 2, 2010, Amanda Hart and Kaleigh Velasquez signed letters of intent to play softball at Judson University, both receiving generous scholarships. They are looking forward to competing together at the college level. Amanda plans to major in Secondary Education/Math and Kaleigh will major in Occupational Therapy and minor in Social Work.
