SCHOLASTIC BOWL TEAMS BUILD IMPRESSIVE RECORDS
Going into the Big Northern Conference Meet, the Varsity Scholastic Bowl has built a 9-2 record against some perennially tough opponents. The team is led by seniors Jessica Williams, Luke Elias, and Megan Calbow. Filling out the squad are juniors Sergio Aguilar, Frank Cusimano, Tyler VanVoorhees, Amy Sticha, and Melissa Looby. The team is coached by Mr. Petrauskis.
The Frosh Soph Scholastic Bowl team has built a 10-1 record scoring an average of 232 points versus the opponent average of 89. The team consists of Connor Kasch, Rachel Siddons, Rebecca Sloan, Adrian Muradian, Sam Franks, Allyson Munneke, Allison Rogutich, Richard Johnson, Heather Gustat, Tyler Scott, Leah Hotchkiss, and Captains Phil Markison and Frank Kaul. Top scorers are Frank Kaul, Connor Kasch, Rebecca Sloan and Allyson Munneke. Scholastic Bowl is a competition consisting of questions on a wide range of knowledge topics from Algebra, Earth Science, Literature, Geography, Government, the Arts, and more. The conference tournament will be held at North Boone High School on Monday February 15th. The team is coached by Mr. Pomykala. »

Frosh Soph Scholastic Bowl team places first.
After placing second last year in the Big Northern Conference, the Scholastic Bowl team returned with a decisive first place victory. The Frosh Soph team won conference with a 13- 1 record scoring an average of 200 points per match verse the opponent average of under 100. The team consists of Connor Kasch, Rachel Siddons, Rebecca Sloan, Adrian Muradian, Sam Franks, Allyson Munneke, Allison Rogutich, Richard Johnson, Heather Gustat, Tyler Scott, Leah Hotchkiss, and Captains Phil Markison and Frank Kaul. Throughout the year, the top scores were Frank Kaul, Connor Kasch, Rebecca Sloan and Allyson Munneke.
